I'm reading like 3 books concurrently. One of them I just finished is a classic sci-fi book, "Hyperion."
I still really like the world building through 7 strangers' stories. But the craziest thing I found, this world CANNOT exist without hard money.
Most sci-fi authors ignore economics but he's describing people "hopping" through time by traveling at light speed. One guy is coming back to the same place every 11ish years.
How would any company be able to pay a worker for that if there was someone in control of the money printer? It would be like forcing someone to buy a 10-year Treasury bond. It wouldn't work.
@Michael R. Sullivan once you finish your current book...I think sci-fi needs a new voice as well.

I was at the local farmer's market telling a guy he should accept #bitcoin and he asked me how it was going.
Told him basically the same thing. He's going to get with me next week to talk about it and how he can accept it in his businesses.

Being carnivore...I still think "corpse muncher" is the funniest supposed insult the vegans hurl at me. It never ceases to make me laugh.
I think I'm at @HODL stage of orange pilling.
While I still talk about #Bitcoin because it's my obsession, if a normie is giving me strong pushback and no curiosity...I just say "ok" and move on with my life.
Why work so hard to give out one life vest when there's a ton more people out there gratefully accepting life vests.
First off, I completely agree with you.
This is why I just DCA all excess funds into #Bitcoin.
Then I don't really have to worry. Just keep stacking and forget about the noise. And people wonder why I have way less stress than them.

I've actually been avoiding Twitter since getting back on NOSTR.
I didn't realize how many people were trying to sell me something until I got on a platform that was just convos and fun.

The wife and I are making our way through old school "Law & Order" and it's still a TV show, so it has its left leaning narratives at times... But they were definitely tackling bigger issues head on; racism, abortion, death penalty, etc. But the thing I like the most was at least there was still a sense of the law being fair. You're naive if you think the law and America works like this anymore.
Agreed! It's like a fat guy telling body builders what their exercise plan should be. Madness.

Generally I think those on #nostr don't need this announcement but just in case, this is a particularly clever phishing attempt. Remember to be vigilant in your own security and check the "From" address of any email you receive. Don't just take it at face value. I work in IT and there's nothing swan can do about this. Everyone's first line of defense is your own common sense.

I'll never have enough #Bitcoin

#Bitcoin rewards the patient/low time preference attribute.
I was looking all my life to be rewarded for this strength.

If I can ask... What's everyone's preferred lightning wallet?
I really liked Phoenix but they're out of the US now.
I tried Zeus, but managing channels + no way to send on-chain and convert really annoyed me.
I like Aqua, but fees on small lightning payments are outrageous.
I'm digging primal for the micro payments but don't want it to be my main lightning wallet.
Looking at Breez currently but wondering if anyone has any feedback with it.
If my little nerdminers could get extremely lucky and find a block... That would be great.
Another day of solving IT problems. I keep my eyes out but if anyone knows a #Bitcoin company that needs IT help please send it my way. I'd rather work in #btc
@Michael R. Sullivan one of these days we'll need to get together IRL and geek out about books and #Bitcoin.
The wives can also get together and do whatever it is women do. 😂🤣😂🤣
I'd much rather be carnivore, raw milk maxing, and headed to El Salvador!

It's 2045... Bitcoin is at 58K. Of course houses have fallen back to $5K. Bitcoiners rejoice.

I used low fees to move my stash into multi-sig.
If you haven't pulled the trigger now is the time. Don't wait for your stash to go up 50x or more and THEN try to move. Fees will wipe the floor with your stack.
