Good morning @Matthew Mezinskis @Peter Todd @ODELL @Marty Bent @preston Saturday morning rant to inspire some NOSTR discussion. I believe the U.S. has a vital national security interest in defeating the Putin regime's special military operation (SMO), supporting Ukraine to this end, and re-establishing Ukraine's borders to its 1991 borders or an alternative border situation it agrees to and accepts as just. Why? The Putin regime has demonstrated that it will not stop its aggression unless it is stopped by force. It started in 2008 in Georgia, partially in 2014 in Ukraine then fully in 2022. Its aggression has not been limited to traditional military operations but also to clandestine political assassinations and assassination attempts in the UK and or course within its own borders. If this murderous regime behavior is not stopped, the Baltic states are likely next and the Suwalki Gap in Poland after that. If western nations espouse the values of individual liberty, nation-state sovereignty, and non-aggression, then we owe a duty to Ukraine and its people to stop Putin's SMO such that he and autocratic states like his (the DPRK, PRC, Venezuela, and Iran) are deterred from acts of aggression against their neighbors in the future. This requires a strong western alliance of nations. That strength is found many places, but the most lasting is in our values. The western alliance has to walk the walk if we are to remain a beacon of hope and liberty for the world. That walk can be embodied in fiscal responsibility, military defense of partners who share those values against the aggression of autocrats, and the separation of money and state, i.e. Bitcoin. We do a good job of talking about these values, but often fail to live up to them. Let us find our strength and do that through our free and democratic processes. If not us, then who? If not now, then when? Have a great day.

Was asked by a colleague what was the best book to learn about Bitcoin today. Recommended The Bitcoin Standard by @Saifedean Ammous

What are the odds that President Biden has the questions for the Stephanopolous interview beforehand? If yes, how far beforehand? 12 hours? 24 hours? 48 hours?!

I assume that Sen Warren is running a shadow government (via her current & former staffers who have positions in the DOJ, Treasury, SEC, and CFPB) to enforce her anti-BTC agenda in the current administration. With that assumption, I support any candidate who will remove them and replace them with people of intellectual honesty and curiosity towards Bitcoin.

Empirical data supports this. You needed an N95 mask tailored to your face and that was only effective for about 8 hours, at most. You could have never pulled it off either for as much as a sip of water, a sneeze, or to eat. Any other mask besides that didn’t protect you. It was a fear-based reaction that became policy and a control-measure View quoted note →

My first concrete budgetary step on the Bitcoin journey was made after the following decision: I need to decrease my investments in other assets and move towards the end-state of100% of my free cash flows go to Bitcoin.
