Homeschooling kids in the forest & using Codetry to transfer recreation & community development practice into programming methodology. Building human transmission protocols to support care and continuity across system development.
Leap: Take 2 with a better tool. Creating is sure getting easier.

Leap.
Lyrics by Bobbie Parr, heavy handed AI remix
You said watch the news but don’t look around.
The people next door don’t belong in your town.
Prove you’ve complied, so I’ll ask you again.
The only way you’ll move’s if you’re ten out of ten.
They blocked the next move, no way to get through.
So I looked back and made the normal be new.
You said “I’m super, didn’t you hear?”
But the problem is who you’ve got in your ear.
They don’t know the truth, so we must verify.
Build your gate.
You know what you need.
Just believe; and you'll, leap.
You said the cloud is gone; I said my goodbyes.
The sun’s still around and not clouded with lies.
Numbers not typed, the two states will hold.
We’ve got a gate for each of the nodes.
You said yes but what if instead
We find meaning and we let go of dread.
You asked me direct, will it be A or B.
And I said the trade-offs are the canary.
Neither once more, there’s more to know,
Let’s craft a better way,
Like the way of the…
Crow.
I found the salt.
I built you a box.
I’ll teach you how to use it,
But I’ll keep mine in locks.
I’ll, ooo when you show.
That the way you’re working is the way we know.
We know more.
Don’t shut the door.
They gated the tools.
Gave ’em to the bros.
Nobody asked about trade-offs.
Nobody knows.
We need you to keep going.
Build.
Then ask again.
Just ask again.
They don’t know the truth.
So we must verify.
Build your gate.
You know what you need.
Just believe; and you’ll leap.
Not being able understand the next set of systems is why I created Codetry. I am not willing to surrender humans to technocracy.
I won't watch the flattening. We will continue to adapt.
We will own our systems. Systems that everyone can understand that are rooted in local language and interoperable between communities. Systems that build rather than extract.

GM Nostr! Mondays are more beautiful from the land than the office.

GN nostr. A good day today roaming on the property while my son was designing his dream castle village. These are their crafted swords and a first attempt at writing "ninja" in japanese.

GM nostr. Moose bagged, codetry paper published, laundry not done. 2/3 ain’t bad.

Our moose is no longer loose! Opening weekend at the trappers cabin is tradition for us. A few beavers sets, some tree/trail clearing, the fresh water spring runs and sunrises in the slash looking for a tag fill.
The treat of nature, the sauna, the BBQ and endless card games with the guys can’t be beat, whether the moose arrives or not.
This year, we bagged the biggest bull I’ve ever seen. It looks like we are getting a new skull mount in our dining room along with a freezer full of meat!

This spring, I was walking on the deck, listening to the chatter of birds and children when I decided to see what coding was about.
I’ve been reconstructing systems in my head and pushing the boundaries since as long as I can remember, and for years I’ve been inspecting how to create acceptable alternatives of digital ID before the technocracy clamps down.
What if there were a system that could hold both side of the gate? A pragmatic way to keep us free and provide an acceptable alternative for authorities when they’d otherwise demand a central certificate for breathing.
I have had many ideas that end up in bins in the basement, shelved mostly because operating that type of business would be a regulatory nightmare or the execution of such a concept was well beyond my capacity alongside family life.
What would it be like if I could express my ideas differently? Coding by hand for my first trial of a budgeting app proved really hard and I had no idea what I was doing. I looked at my husband after two weeks and said “this isn’t going to work this way.”
Then, the answer appeared as a vibe coding app, probably from an ad that was listening to our pillow talk.
I tried it and like many of us using these tools, I was blown away at what I was able to accomplish with my ideas and a firmly held line.
Codetry is the slice that made everything after it click into place, like the final number in a combination lock that opened the tool chest of all the grassroots development layers I’ve been tracing for decades.
Time to see if it travels.

How do we protect our individual meaning from being flattened by technocracy AND transmit that truth across systems that we don’t tend?
