I'm thankful for lots of star trek, planet of the apes and martial arts movies in my childhood. It helped me notice the backwards pieces of our systems along the way. View quoted note →

GM Nostr. This fall is much less stressful than usual. We already got most of the beaver quota, cow is in the freezer, pig is in the freezer, biggest bull moose we've ever gotten is getting packaged by our butcher neighbour, two deer at the stand daily & a jar of pickles for every week of the year on the shelf. Today we finish picking the potatoes/carrots, bed the garden boxes down and tidy up the property before the snow flies. image

GM nostr. Who's still carving pumpkins at home? We do it with my kids grandparents and they sure like to see them light up. The seeds are as delicious as the memories. image

GN Nostr. Good day today, lots of learning pursuits. My son went out with grandpa to check the beaver traps and he was pretty proud of their run. Four towards the quota and a neighbour happy we took care of the problem. image

I shared my 7 year olds answer to "what can't you live without". This was the only thing I could get out of my 10 year old. All the answers of the world in that one. image

I was going to the store for a big stock up, so I asked my 7 year old "what can't you live without?" I was looking for a list of junk food to stash in the basement, maybe a favourite movie I could buy on DVD. This was his list. He said family twice. He understood the assignment better than me. image
