How do we protect our individual meaning from being flattened by technocracy AND transmit that truth across systems that we don’t tend? View quoted note →

Sparks happen everyday, sitting between surviving and pretending. They arrive in the moments. The moments we look too deep. The moments we haven’t looked deep enough. The moments our paths cross with another and we share the course for a little while. When you can’t see a spark, consider the moments. Gather bark, gather tinder, gather tools. Build wind breaks, build pits and sit around sharpening sticks. The sparks will show everyday that you move, but you need to catch your breath enough to build the fire. View quoted note →

Cooperation does not require concentrating every responsibility in the organization that makes the connection possible. Many of us understand Austrian economics and chaos theory. When we see a branch, we dream of an anarchist leaning ideal for humanity, the same one that makes the trees gleam with green. Do you feel closer or farther from hope in the 2020s?

I feel like to win at family life you just need to be present, learn compressed speech, understand the art of war and ask questions, even if you think you have the answer. My 6 year old said something and I started asking him questions for the interest led learning approach. My 10 year old huffed after 4x Q&A periods keeping him from recruiting his brother into his game. “She’s going to milk you for all you’re worth buddy, let’s go sword fight before it rains.” 🤣 #homeschooling

GM Nostr — “my three things” has grown into 14 things today. Good thing it’s grandparents day, the only 6hours of the week where I don’t hear “mom!” every 4.5 minutes. 😝 image

It’s fall once again. The rustling of the trees from the wind first, and the boys second. Sawing down a new spear is a fresh sound in my ear. A great man knows how to use his spear well, yet chooses to keep it sheathed. I say it three times, then the slow reference begins. They say it to themselves. They act it in play & live it in the moment to keep the demons at bay. image

@NOSTR HUB I started writing articles and they disappear into the abyss. I was able to find one because someone liked it, so I could track it down through a notification on the desktop to share as a link. How do I track & share my articles once I’ve posted?

My son says we always have everything we need to get the jobs done that he randomly wants to do. That’s a moment I needed as a parent who has tried to nurture their resilient, adaptable spirit by hoarding craft and building supplies since before they even existed. It’s not fun to hoard that stuff. It’s actually miserable and I can’t organize to save my life but I push through. What those boys spin up after hours of hyper focused team work, with whatever is on hand, is worth the mid term misery of overflowing cabinets and creations. image

Grassroots community is slow and gruelling, most sparks go out before they make a fire. That’s the reason it works later while failing early and often. Early Crafters make things and they fail to serve the market in space and time. Those failures have been built to travel with open source & when the combination clicks in methodologies then the revolution holds. When the primitives to scale between individuals take root, when the practioners get more tools that travel; The wild fire will regenerate the landscape. View quoted note →
