Before Anthropic launched Claude Cowork, I was using a poor man's version of Cowork, not knowing what I was creating, beyond a tool I made to help me with my new full time position at Soapbox. A week ago, it consisted of a bunch of open source tools, bash scripts, python scripts, and Obsidian. I demoed this during my last vibe coding jam session and everyone loved it. Light bulb. I needed to make this easy for everyone to use, not just technical people. I started working on it and a couple days later Claude Cowork was announced. 😩 However, that didn't discourage me. I decided to rebuild everything. I decided to rebuild everything and make it truly open, and make it FOSS. #OpenCode I've been using it for several days now and it works great for me. It works on Linux, Windows, and MacOS. It's almost ready for beta access. Oh and one more thing. There's Nostr integration too 💜

State College Airport TSA always make me take off my belt as I hold the TSA Pre-check laminated card in my hand that states I don't have to take off my shoes, jacket, or belt. 😡

Freedom fighters and activists need freedom technology more than most. For them, these tools aren’t abstract ideas or memes. These are real and essential for doing real work on the ground every day. Nostr, Bitcoin, and AI give them the ability to communicate, organize, and build without permission. I’m excited to head to Austin today to help build tools that support their mission.
