This spawns all the satmonsters at once? It would be great for us if the mons spawned throughout the day during our open hours. Also this spawns them only on publicly accessable roads and paths, by design Im sure, but we are a large plant nursery and could keep the entire hunt onsite. Could it be geofenced inside a polygon?
Yes, I think it’s an awesome idea to bring people to your nursery. I’ll make these changes and push them in the next update so that the host can choose to deploy on public roads by default or set a polygon on the map like you suggested. Also, we’ll also explore the possibility of scattered spawning within a set time frame.

Yes you need to be physically in the area to see and capture the spawned monsters.

Yes I have successfully joined the hunt on another npub
I was able to join the hunt, collect balls and capture 2 mons, however I didn't have any nwc set up on the hunter. It said sats were collected, but nothing was deducted from the nwc wallet I used to create the hunt.
I left the hunt and haven't been able to rejoin it (can't seem to locate it in the relays). Also on the account that creates the hunt I can't seem to find it to view or end it et cetera
Can you share some screenshots from the hunters perspective?
To receive sats as a player the nostr npub you use to log in must be set up to receive zaps with a Lightning address (via the lud16 field) in your profile metadata.
On the host side, is the hunt just gone even though you’re logged in the same way you were when you began hosting the hunt?
Interestingly I can't seem to login using nsecbunker and amber on vandadium. I am logged in via keychat and no hunt is showing up (the hunt was set to last 4-5 hours and should still exist). Also note that I can't seem to turn on location permissions for keychat, and so can't create a new hunt. Maybe the existing hunt would pop up if I could get past that menu. all on the host side.

Totally open hunts for anyone to join wasn’t in my vision. But perhaps it could be that there is a open world mode where a donation wallet exists and it uses the donated funds to spawn random redeemable sat-monsters in public places all over the world!

I’d like to drop an open hunt in places I don’t live, with the hunt host linking back to my npub— for artists and business owners it would be a cool way to “advertise” or gain followers

We pushed the polygon map boundary update, the scattered sat-monster spawn update, a better active hunt UI to help manage any currently active hunts, and phase one of an anti-spoofing update that assigns a backend trust score to players based on many factors that can flag and notifying you of potential cheaters.
Just had a chance to test it, I like the scattered and replace. Tested the polygon and wasn't able to draw. The map widget appears to keep refreshing and wiping out my previous input.

Trying to onboard and there is no way to set a lud16 in the Sathunter app, these people aren't nostr natives. Can you add a way to update some basic kind-0 fields?

How do you envision the onboarding process for someone without a lightning address at all? Should there be small help section pointing them to different options like wallet of Satoshi or coinos?
That sounds good, I'm not sure which wallet would be best. I point people to minibits but also like the laddered approach that Zeus, Blitz, et cetera use, although Zeus is a bit unapproachable. Maybe npub dot cash?
Minibits, Coinos and WoSatoshi are all simple enough. npub dot cash is easy too. Maybe those 4. Or maybe just minibits. Too many options might overwhelm.
