"Stablecoin" is a propaganda term. USDC, USDT, etc. are traditional fiat shitcoins built on modern shitcoin tech, inheriting the tradeoffs of both. UNPOPULAR OPINION: Real estate is a shitcoin but that doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to buy a house. Having your kids grow up in a series of generic rental houses will allow you to stack more. But, there is more to life than stacking sats. The satisfaction of having a piece of land that you can call your own, even if the government presumes to charge you rent for it (property tax), is real. Getting to know your neighbours, building community, keeping an eye out for each others' kids, is real.

Bitcoiners who hold on to mainstream political beliefs, such as democracy and republican constitutionalism, need to think harder about the second order effects of our victory. The modern state is an impossibility without control of the money.
