We may be in a cult, but we know we are, unlike most It’s also the best cult out of the several that are taking down the nation state

I heard Tucker Carlson and his brother talking about the degradation of America and I wasn’t so sure Immediately after that I went to a coffee shop with only oat and almond milk, no dairy

Three normies I know talking stocks pretty casually and I can’t tell if it means things are in for a whoosh down or if I’m just getting older

So passive flows consistently push indices higher, but if an inelastic wave of selling from the biggest, oldest generation in history overcomes them, it’s all downhill from there. Accelerating downhill.

For what it’s worth, I’ve had a much easier time STRC-pilling people than orange-pilling them. It’s easier to grasp a high yield savings account than it is to understand Bitcoin mining and self custody, and people are remarkably undiscerning about what’s backing their savings. If it works they’ll use it, and so far STRC appears to work

This was tough. 35 min, 14 miles, roughly 550 kcal. First time breaking 14! Had to take the headphones out to focus on those last few minutes image

As part of my job, I occasionally talk to homeless people who are schizophrenic and who don’t use drugs. There tend to be two subgroups. One experiences angels and demons as part of their everyday reality; I talk with them and try to help them out but they’re clearly living on a different plate than me. Then there are the folks that are convinced they’re living in a surveilled technological nightmare where their movements are being tracked and their attempts at digital activity blocked at every turn. I find it stranger to talk with them than with the supernatural people, because they’re kind of right. Their focus is unfortunately usually on themselves only (“my email keeps getting hacked, every time I get a phone they find out what my new number is,” etc) but it’s hard not to agree with the overall sentiment.

@RHR Bot @ODELL mentioned a brand of bread flour several weeks ago that’s glyphosate free. I can’t remember the name of it but would like to buy some. You might have to search “glysophate” too because @ODELL and @MartyBent always mispronounce stuff

In the depths of this red candle, my wife’s on a metabolic health conference call and a gal mentions that she saw Steak n Shake has tallow fries. We’re going to win.
