Here’s something you will probably never see on a mountain. Moral of the story: spend more time in the mountains, folks.

Respectfully @Simon Dixon The main argument for BIP-110 not having “enough consensus” was that no major exchanges, businesses, or developers supported it. If we can agree that these entities collectively hold the largest amount of BTC, then this is an admission that the more BTC you own, the more influence or veto power you have over protocol changes. This is literally the textbook definition of Proof of Stake, regardless of what assumptions we hold about the type of mining used. If miners as a whole, emboldened by Big Bitcoin’s backing, can push through or veto protocol changes without first consulting the network, then this is literally not Bitcoin. At least, not what it was supposed to be.

Now we’re talking. This is how mining should look like.

Fine art is like hard money. It appreciates in value over time. So my photography has a fixed price in hard money, whether you buy it today, 20 or 50 years from now. 0.03 XBT or 0.05 XMR for this piece or any other photograph you choose from my website. Print it big, frame it as you please, and put it on your wall if you like it. Shoot me a DM if interested. #XBT #XMR #BitcoinBlake2b #Monero

Thanks for the powerful message, Contra. I’ve never really given this a thorough thought. We need another name for normies, but before that we need to dig deep and see where we land in this framework. View quoted note →
