Well today was a good motivator to remove the last couple "cloudflare proxy" vestige settings I had enabled. Totally retarded to have a basic html/css site that is served from a single VPS with no CDN go "down" because a dumbass proxy decided to shit itself.

I called a local cafe that i saw on btcmap.org to verify that they take bitcoin lightning payments, the guy on the phone was like, "yea, we just turned it on! come on in!" he seemed really excited to be getting attention for it. the meme in merchants' minds should be "as soon as you enable bitcoin payments, enthusiastic customers with loose wallets just start pouring out of the woodwork". It's our job as early, rabid bitcoiners to make that happen. if it doesn't, we'll have nobody but ourselves to blame for missing this unique opportunity.

In case you were worried, I've recovered a measure of manliness and anti-fiat-itude by building my own hardwood shaker style doors and drawer fronts and butcher block countertop.
