I don’t have the skills to do a proper analysis on Core v. Knots. The arguments on both side are compelling but the Knots side feels more genuine and Core comes off as a bit elitist. Doesn’t mean Core is wrong (necessarily), could just mean Knots is fighting a better forward guard.
Is anyone keeping a score card of devs and thought leaders positions on this? Some people I really respect in the space and look to for guidance are @Jeff Booth @calle @Samson Mow @Saifedean Ammous @jack mallers @ODELL @Marty Bent @DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞

I wrote a kids book that you can only buy with Bitcoin called The Winds Of Uncertainty. You can buy it from my website. The e-book and a video of me reading it aloud are free.

Bitcoin only dad, husband, business owner.
Me: can I pay you in Bitcoin?
Pizza guy at farmers market: wut? That’s too high tech for us.
Me: if you want me to pay in crappy dollars that fund the war machine, I’m happy to do that too.
I’m so tired of podcasts focused on treasury companies. I miss topics like:
-Bitcoin ends war
-Bitcoin empowers the global south
-Bitcoin can cross boarders without detection
-Bitcoin reduces consumption economics
-Bitcoin ends nihilism
-Bitcoin forces politicians to be responsive to their constituents
-Bitcoin will lead to a wave of new deflationary technologies
-Bitcoin brings energy resources to parts of the world that otherwise couldn’t have them
-Bitcoin fixes shortcomings in human nature by perfecting incentives
To me, this is such a powerful graphic. But I have shared it with so many people and the reaction is always the same. Some version of “huh, isn’t that interesting….catch the game last night?”

Mornings like this feel solemn and introspective.

Our house is built on a hill and has an unfinished crawl space with 14’ ceilings. We want a gym and an office so I spent my afternoon framing a subfloor. Should be able to add almost 600 sq feet of usable space down there
Respect to dudes who do that kind of work every day. I’m SORE.
I sell industrial raw materials and over the years I have noticed our business slows ahead of the broader economy which makes sense because it takes months for our products to get made into a finished product and into a consumers cart.
I expected the tariffs to slow our business but we have held pretty steady until about two weeks ago. Now it’s like someone pulled the emergency brake.
Maybe a signal or maybe just noise. Hard to say at this point.
Exciting week! I just ordered the Author Proof of my first kids book. It arrives in a little more than a week and if everything looks good I’ll order a hundred copies and start promoting it here.
The artwork was done by a Nostr friend and paid for in sats. The book design/layout was also paid for in sats. For the first edition, it is only going to be available in hard cover photo quality and only for sale on Nostr for shipment in the US. An e-book is coming soon too. Depending on feedback I might add a paperback and sell it on Amazon to reach a broader audience.
What are the best options for direct sales on Nostr?
Do we really have to do this popsicle thing? I mean I want to fit in, but I’m not sure the popsicle will fit in. Isn’t there another way?

Just renewed my car tabs on the State website. They made the mistake of asking for feedback.

Comments?: Taxation is theft.
Went fishing last week on the Chagras River in Panama (the one that feeds the Panama Canal). Saw two crocodiles and caught 13 of whatever these are.
Back home now and the kids had their first day back to #waldorfschool. They live their school so much.
Feeling immensely grateful for this amazing life me and my wife have built together.
