What’s little beauty to find on a bookshelf in my mother’s house. The revolution of Keynesian economics, but can full employment be maintains with stable prices? What about the issue of growth? Should be an interesting read. Quite the scholar in his early days, but also founds a touch like a pretentious prick, who “knows better”. image

Gm nostriches, over visiting #mumstr with the family for an extended family thanksgiving style dinner. Catching a few moments of peace with #coffeechain served in a deliberately quiet way. Really starting to be indifferent towards the last leg (less funny and too leftie). Looked forward to watching “mr green” on it last night, but outside a few pithy one liners, he was a bit dull. The tax the billionaires was his first policy line (hmmm, no.1 policy is stealing from the most productive?). Then interestingly, my mother (generally into politics) didn’t know who he was. The comment on this pic feels pure lowest common denominator, “yeah he says stuff that sounds good and takes stuff away from people I envy and I say are bad”. The comments on climate were laughable, “we don’t need nuclear” but zero mention of batteries, oh and wind technology is technically much older that nuclear, but no one ever points that out. Also, who pays for all the stimulus you’re handing out, business and the rich will leave in droves!!!! Envy of politics is a really slippery slope towards destruction, whoa, a touch dark, but it’s a deadly sin, view it as such. @Peter McCormack just getting into Ant Middleton, hmmm, better not have him start to play in the car this weekend, lots of lefties could be triggered.

Gm nostriches, quiet moments of the day with my #coffeechain with @BTC Sessions in my ear, repo rates appear to be picking up something ain’t right, silent IPO (great read @Guy Swann) is well underway, and we ended a 134 day streak over $100k, but also I grabbed some sub£80k sats (2020 self losing his shit). Take is easy freaks, get you house in order and following listening to @Canadian Bitcoiners Podcast with Mr R Gnome, maybe consider putting the latest version of knots in a similar group to core v30. Can someone please “just” (appreciate it is a massive task) take v29 and gradually add security fixes as they some into the latest version……. Hmmmm, is it time for me to get out my 2002 lecture material on c++ coding?!?!? #catstr unfussed. Local pumpkins turning on their own kind.

Fascinating show, but would err on the side of caution with moving all my “none bitcoin” airdrop coins to an exchange, Free money is fun and all, but doxxing my stack (even a portion of it) is a big risk. View quoted note →

Gm nostriches, the day of meetings is now behind, I told my department they needed more integrity (let’s see how that turns out, is using AI worth selling your integrity for?!?!?*), so now my Thursday can begin, #coffeechain one complete, reply to “family finance” to offset my communism comment from yesterday done; debasement, bitcoin and deflation were all included, let’s see the response. Today, serious work, hopefully find some time to cut some trees down, time on the bike may have to wait for another week, 😫 *oh and the integrity element is in my new article with @Stackchain ⛓ Magazine !!!! With a reference to @M A D E X on what one should consider when offered a deal many couldn’t refuse. Respect sir! 🫡🙌 image

Gm nostriches, the day ahead is a sea of meetings , from 11 straight through until 4, maybe with a free lunch, but a presentation I have to give in one (will be going to touch rogue). Apologies for returning to the “pre-budget” speech of yesterday, but had a thought and just had to share it. Income tax increase, no bother, I work less, but what most can’t escape from is the incoming wave of inflation, so I that regards, all is good. Brits need #bitcoin so badly right now and they are currently clueless, gaslit by now linking “crypto mining” to Andrew and Fergie and a company that went bust, may well have been accurate but the timing stinks and reflects the British media’s negative slant, but then again they want everyone to stay within the prison of gbp and rampant inflation., #coffeechain

Unusual, pre-budget speech with 3 weeks to go feels like they are running scared, prepping the markets for what is to come. So much talk of stealing more from the public, with a first time in 50 year increase in income tax rise ON THE TABLE!!!!!! What was this for you may ask? Investment? Improving “services” 🤮, no she’s selling all her credibility for some “fiscal headroom”, because things have gone so shit after the last time, and the country has run up the highest first 6 month debt of the year since COVID 😳, any fiscal headroom she had as gone. Income tax rise, earnings and spending will tank, winter of discontent mkii incoming. Control will be lost again, bond markets will react, money printer hasn’t even got started, hold on tight people. Medium term, GBP is toast!! IMF bailout very much on the cards. image

GM nostriches, loving a bit of Tuesday morning @CedYoungelman and @jimmysong , helping me make a few connections, but please correct me if I’m wrong, but……. If the op_return limit has been increased to 100k, this adds additional data to a block, which admittedly can be pruned later, BUT this extra data will likely slow block propagation, particularly if a number of nodes aren’t running v30. As Jimmy says, even a 6 second delay is a 1% reduction in mining uptime, surely transmitting v30 blocks will reduce miner efficiency. We’re always told miners are economic actors and will be making decisions based on this, even if fees for op_returns are significant. 1% of the block reward is equivalent to 3.1million sats! The passing comment that miners should use knots wasn’t given a lot of time, but was telling, meaning only blocks without increased op_return limits would get added, irrespective of what economic nodes are running.

Ga nostriches, they never come out quite a short and succinct as I’d planned, but at least I’ve attempted to back things up where I can. Given we’ve moved into the budget danger zone of everything being the eternal Schroedinger’s cat (simultaneously on and out of the budget), thought it was worth putting some ideas out there. It isn’t about the wealth anymore, it is not knowing what could come next and there are people cheering for it and they haven’t considered the consequences. A country that Villainises the wealthy and breeches property rights isn’t a place you want to be.
