There is no justification from the side of the murderer, there is no “he had some views people don’t like”, there is no “well, if we had gun controls”, you cannot attempt to justify cold blooded murder. This is the definition of a terrorist act. Keeps bringing me back to this meme, when there is justification for the rights on the criminal. Gm nostriches, wish I was not watching theories of why I’m there was a political killing in the US of someone, apart from relative fame, not so different to myself. There are dark forces at play here, when reasonable people are being taken out, for their conservative/rational views, it is terrifying. Loan “gun person”, Mossad retaliation, middle aged progressive “activist”? More about the people who are not quite so enraged about the event. News reports in the uk, not so much. If you haven’t, go watch @HODL ‘s latest V log, irrespective of who did this, the chilling effect on free speech is not to be under estimated. Free speech is how we remain civilised, free speech is how we learn and grow, if we can’t settle our differences through robust dialogue, we descend into the imposition of views through force or fear of force. This is why I Nostr and this is why I look ahead and feel resolve to speak more freely in real life, reduced chance of it going quite so badly (less guns in uk), but do I have freedom do even do this to a small degree (much less free speech)? #dogstr keeping me grounded
