We keep building, even in winter.
We do not care whether we are in a bull market or a bear market. We do not need a rising #Bitcoin price to stay active. We are not going to sit around complaining that the winter is taking too long. We are here to build, no matter how long it takes.
The Bitcoin Metropole in #Kempten is a physical place for Bitcoin, self custody, privacy, open source, Austrian economics, culture, education, and real human connections.
There are countless podcasts, videos, and online communities. But what is still missing in many places is a real physical space where people can simply walk in, meet others, ask questions, learn, work, and become part of the community.
That is exactly why we are building the Bitcoin Metropole.
I am there almost every day, from morning until evening. Just yesterday, on a Sunday, someone came to visit us. He was extremely excited about the space and genuinely happy to have found a physical Bitcoin place he could visit.
A place where he could meet people, ask questions, and feel that he was truly part of the community.
Moments like this remind me why we are doing all of this.
We continue to grow, even during the bear market. Over the past few months, we have significantly upgraded the space. We can now host talks, workshops, podcasts, livestreams, panel discussions, book and product presentations, smaller hackathons, private events, and public Bitcoin or privacy events.

We now have a television for presentations, event equipment, chairs, tables, drinks, space for discussion panels, and the possibility to record or livestream podcasts and shows. The Bitcoin Metropole can also be used as a coworking space.
From August 16 to 19, the #Domain Summit Europe will take place partly inside the Bitcoin Metropole. This event is an important case study for us because it shows how the space can also be used for larger events.
Around the main event, we are organizing additional activities in the region, including a group excursion and a visit to a local brewery.
This brings people to Kempten, supports local businesses, and shows what can be created around a physical community space. The organizers are not only supporting us financially, they are also bringing experience, valuable connections, and long term visibility.
The plan is to return every year and possibly organize more events with us in the future.
We also recently recorded something very special with Allgäu TV. This is important because we do not want to remain only inside our existing bubble.
We want to show new people, in a simple and understandable way, what Bitcoin actually is, why self custody matters, and why privacy affects everyone.
In a way, the Bitcoin Metropole is like a Trojan horse.
People may enter because of an event, a podcast, a #workshop ,an exhibition, a product presentation, or simply out of curiosity. But once they are inside, they encounter Bitcoin, open source, privacy, self custody, and financial sovereignty.
Our goal is to bring even more life and activity into the space and make it financially self sustaining over time.
We are growing, learning, and improving the Metropole step by step. We want to host more events, welcome more visitors, support more speakers, and give more people a real physical place where they can discover and understand Bitcoin.
We also want to remain transparent about how we build.
If we need a television, a refrigerator, equipment, furniture, or something else for the space, we look for someone who would like to sponsor that specific item. The sponsor receives permanent visibility inside the Metropole.
This is not about making a profit from the equipment. It is about building this place together, one real piece at a time.
