Nostr is too fringe and esoteric for me now. And accepting that sucks. I really love learning, joy, and solitude so that’s why I’ve been here for years.
There’s been a level of cavalier attitude lately thats privileged based, fanciful, and increasingly out of step with real-world consequences.
I’d shake hands with and hug at least 10 people here we IRL but yeah…there’s a definite line in the sand with me as of now. Bummer.

What changed? I agree it hasn’t been the same, but haven’t quite been able to put my finger on it. Increased distance from reality?
Oh wait I think I know what it is. So many people on here state their opinions as if they are the only correct ones and are fact, rather than acting like there is room for nuance, discussion, and differing opinions.
I then often tend to feel the need to argue back, which I don’t feel good doing.
I guess posts that stir up negativity and strong reactions on social are always the ones that win.
p.s. bluesky also bothers me for this reason. Find myself feeling negative and annoyed about the world
