So I want to give a quick book review on "B is for Bitcoin" - The Essential Guide to All Things Bitcoin. The book is put out by @Daz B & @Seb Bunney at lookingglasseducation.com I think the description of the book provided in the introduction is more accurate than I can articulate, so I have included a pic image The book is an excellent attempt at short cutting the 10,000hrs most of us have put in to understand this thing. I didn't personally learn much from it other than how to explain certain concepts to newbies. It does a really good job at dumbing down some complex concepts. I will probably end up buying more copies to send to friends & family who I know will benefit from a deeper understanding of Bitcoin. IMO it does not really attempt to orange pill the reader and that's OK. I think the ideal reader is someone who already has done skin in the game (ie sitting on some sats) but doesn't quite understand what it is that they own. It's great for anyone running a meetup or wanting to educate your friends & family on this thing you're so obsessed with. Awesome work brothers! Incredibly humbling review my friend. This is exactly what we were trying to achieve. How can we distill down 1000s of hours of research into something people could get a general gist of, before diving off into their own deep ends of understanding? Thank you for taking the time to read it and for giving us this epic review.
Man - I wish I'd have read something like this when I first bought bitcoin. I don't think there's anything else out there in a printed form that covers all these fundamental concepts. It's very broad knowledge, while most Bitcoin content is quite specific. Each chapter could be a book in itself. I struggled initially with that high level approach but then realised it wasn't written for me. I know the effort & discipline it would have taken to condense this content. I'm reminded of the Mark Twain quote "I apologize for such a long letter - I didn't have time to write a short one."
