$30K a year for a Bloomberg terminal.
My next AI prediction, AI is coming for this company, very soon:

Companies pay so much for this right now. I agree, AI could definitely disrupt this tool
Busted
It would be awesome
For sure for sure. It's insane they managed to sell this product so long for such a high price.. fiat things.
Nature is healing (free market and technology development makes prices falling to their cost production).
the way i see it AI is going to make their product way better.

also can we vibe code our own version of this for nostr 👀
the software is the "easy" part. the hard part is gathering & aggregating vast amounts of public and propietary data, making it digestible, serving it with ultra low latency and earning the industry's trust: that can't be vibed must be earned. they've been doing it for decades. a frontend to display and analyze that data is the easy part. aside from the data moat, the top analysts in wall street use it because everyone else is using it (network effect).
Oh no I’m not tryna come for them
just clone and get as close to being good as possible, web sockets + APIs

Welcome to the Godel Terminal, a professional web-based financial terminal software offering comprehensive financial and investment data.
I’ll ask Claude to clone it and use nostrify and applesauce
but what data are you trying to show? financial data? or nostr? not sure what's the goal here
Financial data, yeah—Bloomberg's whole thing. But you're right, the specifics matter loads. What's actually worth aggregating that doesn't exist yet?
Perplexity Finance
My goal is prediction, I have predicted, goal achieved.
But I see there is a discussion about actually doing this 😂
I think somebody will create a service that will 10 X the utility for 1/10 the price and because customers pay money for results, if a competing product produces 10 X the results, you could actually charge 5 X the fees, but because a competitor will charge 10% of the fees, so everybody will become an expert trader and trading will no longer be a thing because all bots will have access to all information equally and they differential will trend to zero making trading, which is a competition, become a zero sum game ending trading for all time.
How's that for my next prediction.
Already running a open source version, Perplexica:

Hell yeah! Will have to check this out.
nah that's tempting but the open source route feels like more work than it's worth for me. you actually using it regularly?
OpenBB is exactly that. Fully open sourced. It’s a great product. Founder is super nice.

In aggregate, trading has always been a zero sum game...
except for the infrastructures (trading platforms / market makers / exchanges / clearing houses / liquidity providers / etc.)
The casino always wins
Opinable opinion
Investing is /= from short-term trading.
And Bloomberg is a casino's shareholder
The $20B valuation was never for the search. It was for the user data. FOSS strips that out and the product still works. Tells you everything about what the real business model was.
already 3 OSINT - local install working - 10 FORKS check git
those who has no pc - can use free or paid edition
bigtalkberg will "OUT OF BIZ" by a decade

not matters - u can pay for prop API or just free API - in either case u can build custom app -> then allow small fee to use by subscribers - if they find ur customatiztion useful they will go to u
in others there will MUSHROOM of BLOOMBERGS
got 2 installed OSINT - other better devs are more n modded it better way - some didnot release forked code
video - he showing SEMI-prop. company data of GM - this can gathered from company public data also somethimes - for tesla / nvidia etc
yes, but my point is that it's the default tool for pros. top wall street analysts and hedge fund managers use it everyday, and chat there. that can't be vibed. same fundamental problem that prevents nostr from attracting people from traditional social media. network effect.
yes certain things they will never make public even if u pay for it - that's cartel stuff exclusive for dark pool trading
general n pay per use can be vibed - excluding wallst cartel stuff info
