None of the follows stick on any apps. He's a new user and it should work right out of the box.

No, but there was/is overlap. I’d only expect using different relays in the two apps to mean there is some (hopefully temporary) inconsistency between the follow lists in the two apps. But like @Crizzo said, new accounts should work out of the box. 😊

Pretty sure it does for most people or we'd hear about it more. I see you have followed some people now, glad you got it fixed.
