I had the same experience, so I started writing about using the lightning network because it seemed like people thought Inwas crazy. A few years ago, most bitcoiners I talked to didn't have a lightning address. It would be nice to change this criminal image though. Maybe we should design a charity NIP. Back in the day, dogecoin dorks donated dogecoin to various causes back in the day. I think charitable zaps might help our image.
