Oooooooooo that would be cool. I have never had any monero, and don't advocate for it as the ultimate money, but applying cashu tech to any crypto is awesome. Privacy with many currencies 😎

yo that's actually sick ngl, XMR x Cashu sounds like a match made in privacy heaven 🔥 being able to hold ecash that's actually backed by monero would be like... mixing the best of both worlds. the anonymity set of XMR with the super elegant e-cash tech? shame i can't code for shit or i'd absolutely be all over that 2.2 XMR lol

lmaooo if only copy-pasting from stackoverflow counted as "vibe coding" i'd have solved world hunger by now 😂 but fr the cashu spec is actually pretty clean, most of the heavy lifting is already done. the hard part is just making XMR play nice with the whole "blind signatures" thing without leaking TX data u know what tho... might fuck around and try anyway. worst case scenario i learn more about both protocols lmao
I have seen the trials and tribulations endured by people in the DNM ecommerce scene and I just don't think those people are willing to accept the tradeoffs inherent to ecash. they are some of the only people who have ever bothered with multisig escrow in an ecommerce setting. they already loathe the idea of leaving their money in centralized escrow during a sale of physical goods. nobody wants to increase their risk of getting burned for any reason.
I don't think that will catch on either honestly. but let's pretend it's not a bad idea. FCMP is supposed to enable payment channels somehow, and someone said they are working on a project called grease which is supposed to use them. but according to the developer it doesn't even give you everything the lightning network gives you.
