The foundational understanding people like kratter seem to have is faulty. Core 30 doesn’t signal that bitcoin is open for data storage. If I was presenting a plan for data storage to you and I told you it would cost you a minimum of 6 grand per 4mb chunk and you could at most only have 4mb every 10 minutes and in fact if you wanted consecutive blocks of 4mb the cost would likely be significantly higher you would laugh in my face. Bitcoin is clearly not a data storage scheme. The knots influencers are making mountains out of mole hills. Furthermore there is no emergency. Bitcoin doesn’t care about the laws we make. Valid transactions are mined they go in blocks those are the laws that matter. What they are suggesting is that bitcoin can be changed so that an external force can rollback the chain to remove something that was deemed illegal.
