Anyway - typing the emdash is too much - so i generally stick with the hyphen
I'm surprised bots were so insitant on using it for so long but ... haven't they already due aled that back?
I'm not even sure how to type an emdash, my keyboard does not have a key for them.

DeepL did the same.
On stock gboard holding dash in the symbols keyboard will let you type emdash. There are a lot of secondary symbols accessed that way.

I always use em dashesβand I'll continue using them. No AI is taking the dashes away from me

Usually you just type two hyphens together and the editor converts it to an em-dash. For this of us old enough to remember using typewriters, that is, typographically, how you type an em-dash on a typewriter.
