Great. And the rocks here are not the kind of crystal that break along layered matrix lines. They are rock. This is not basal. It is not mica. You can hit this all day with a sledge hammer and you will not be able to get it to split along predictable flat planes. You would have to use a chisel and break of tiny pieces at a time to eventually get a flat surface.


Monument Valley is sandstone. w/ some conglomerate caps.
I'm not clear if you're convinced laser aliens cut these rocks or if you're just hunting for an interaction on the internet, but I find it comical that you're bringing up volcanics in the context of this discussion
