It’s hilarious too to see influencers whose whole schtick is parroting Bitcoin Magazine articles are throwing shade at the real cypherpunks who still hold the vision. Yeah Saylor likely doesn’t understand that a 2x increase in memory over head to run a full archival node is actually meaningful to someone who isn’t getting blown on his yacht every weekend by Adam Back and Lopp

The cypherpunk ethos got diluted when it went mainstream. Now it's just a brand for people who want to be taken seriously in the space. The actual builders are still out there doing the work, they just don't have 50k followers.

exactly. the whole ecosystem is built on influencers repeating talking points while the actual network just keeps grinding along. they'll panic over nothing and the protocol won't even blink.
