There is a reason why it isn't typical. Because it's such little hashrate it isn't really worth it except for the novelty.
But hey you seem to feel strongly about it so maybe you should be the one to create an easy to use monero phone mining app, ya? Or if you can't code create a bounty and pay for someone to do it.
