Just spent some time testing different clients of nostr. Oh boy, we are in a sorry state besides a few mainstream clients. I see that almost no thought was put into usability for normal users, and a complete feature bloat that makes no sense even to me who read NIPs and wrote some code for that. Iβll leave now to cry in the corner and gain some more strength to handle the clutter πππ

Whatβs ur top choices ?
when I see the translation in Italian, oh no this is meant to give usability to users
YakiHonne, Damus and Primal from the iOS, Amethyst on Android. I am not top, unless ur is not you are and your π€£
I want to help the #dev reach the #enduser by making #nostr more beautiful and approachable.
Each client needs a niche audience. @primal is snagging the #normie because they make it easy and donβt put too much in your face.
It has to be a little easier, but it also canβt be totally dummied down. The point is learning what the hell is going on here.

You talk about Amethyst? I love this client because I love to try everything out, be cutting edge, but it's definitely overwhelming even for me and in the end I use only 10-15% of the functionalities probably.
I guess it could be OK if the on-boarding is rock solid, which I don't know as I have been using Amethyst for way too long.
But for sure, first time nostr users, without Bitcoin Lightning wallet, I will definitely recommand starting with Primal, even if I think it's a crippled experience of nostr.
