it only took me half a day to port a *native* iOS app to *native* Android with AI. hardware stack I've never worked with (BLE) and I'm not even an Android dev. it would've required weeks of research if I attempted this just a year ago. devs who resist AI are so cooked πŸ’€

I've ported bitchat to Android and it's interoperable with the iOS app by @jack image github repo: https://github.com/callebtc/bitchat-android apk release: https://github.com/callebtc/bitchat-android/releases/tag/0.1 it's still a bit rough around the edges and there are a few bugs. issues and PRs welcome View quoted note β†’

I have seen that I am now able to accomplish things that I never thought possible. One year from today I will have built things I can't imagine right now. Focused currently on @routstr with MKStack.
Flutter/React Native/Any other LCM cross platform framework advocates in shambles.

Tech retard here, but I am starting to see the exponential possibilities of AI.
Agreed. AI has allowed us to merge multiple layers of our tech stack that would have required a team before and taken way longer.
I've said that today with one my colleague... I'm not a dev and I want to build my own site from scratch.. and magically yesterday I built it with a Tailwind too.. I went through all incompatible dependences and solve all the issue thank to Agents! That was just unthinkable few years ago!
As someone that knows almost zero code it was awesome to have an ai write me a python script to strip metadata from jpgs rename them to their hash value. It’s nowhere on the same level as porting an app, but I feel like it’s a tiny first step in that direction.
My coding experience is hacking together bash scripts. Vibe coding is mind blowing!

It took 3 days from never even looking into vibe coding, to having a game with Nostr based score syncing, leaderboards, and built in social features. Nostr hasn't even started yet, and we're here already! Thank you @Derek Ross for the push to try this stuff πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œ How it started View quoted note β†’ How it's going #vibetard

Great that you share your experience ! Any rough idea how much it did cost you ?
is that how you justify that you didn't even use a full dollar of the credits I gave you πŸ˜‚
Not sure what you mean. I am neither a security expert, nor am I an Android dev either, but there may be some severe flaws in the crypto implementation of this app. Now I know that this is just a fun project and by no means production ready, yet it shows the lack of "control" that vibe-coding has. As all things, it should be used in moderation. While it is true that it may have taken you months to research stuff in order to build this, some parts of the app need to be researched and reviewed in order to be "safe".
