seems at first like an extreme measure. like government overreach and all that of course… at the same time, put in different words… it would be a VERY good thing for EVERY parent to NOT allow their kids from using massive social media platforms, including youtube. social media is not even healthy for “adults.” SO many people simply are not at all savvy enough to protect their own psyches from the onslaught of bad-for-you & bad-for-society manipulation. if the uk had trustworthy leaders that actually care about their fellow countrymen as fellow human beings, brothers & sisters, you could also say that this is an understandable desperate measure, especially in the face of ai. it’s too bad that most parents, the adults, are not at all equipped to parent well. it’s an extremely terrible “situation” these days….
