Fascinating to see Twitter’s rollout of user location info.
Basically, if you use the Twitter app you doxx your nationality and residency. My curiosity has gotten the better of me, so exploring with some surprises. I’ve also discovered accounts that were web-only from the beginning, so can’t discern nationality/residency.
The bottom line - if you use a platform app store app, you are doxxed.
Fortunately, with #nostr we have a pathway away from depending on specific apps.

So you are saying the doxxing comes from the app, not the “account?” I wondered if using VPN would mask my location. I saw a few posts that if you paid for having a verified account it came from that.
