The narrative on Wall Street is the Fed is stuck between their two mandates. Shutdown prevents them from receiving data reports, so they're driving this economy blindfolded. There is little reporting happening on the importance of gov spending on the US economy, but we see it in the data after ever significant shutdown. House republicans are deliberately being kept home to force this to play out. Every single player in this game has an excuse for "I didn't do it..." once the blame game starts. Conditions are ripe for fuckery.
