I messed around with WavLake this morning. It's a nostr native music client that allows music fans to find songs in specific genres. Since we all know information longs to be free, @Wavlake allows that music to be free(as in freedom) Instead of putting songs behind a corporate paywall that takes a hefty corporate tax, fans can pay musicians with peer-to-peer electronic cash(A.K.A. sats over the lightning network). - No credit card is required. - You can send sats to musicians performing live from your couch or in an event in meatspace. - Interact with the audience on nostr and create a new kind of attention economy. This sounds like science fiction, but as the saying goes, truth is stranger than fiction. If you don't get it or don't believe me, here is a post from a musician who uses this freedom tech. My understanding is that wavlake is itself a walled garden and lnbeats is better. @sir Spencer can educate better.
