There could be lots of ways of metering the connection, just as data volume. The service could even refund you for services not rendered. If a user doesn't intend to use the 10 GB of data, they probably shouldn't buy 10 GB of data. How about buying just 1 MB and then buying the next MB just in time as the first MB is about to get used up? This gives you the freedom to walk away from your provider or to connect to a different provider at any point in time without losing much money.
