my tentative plan is to give Wayland a shot in a year or two.. ..does Hyprland have a manual tiling option like i3wm ?
dunno what that is. haven’t been much of an i3wm user.
just simple commands to split windows either vertically or horizontally on workspaces, for more control than dynamic tilers like DWM, etc
how do you move between operating systems so easily? do you have a nice method for bringing over all your stuff?
also, think pads with the slide out hard drive tray help. 🤓
yes! i put a front facing ssd slot on my old server tower. super nice to have hard drives easy to plug and play.
i3 is a manual tiler by default I think, and there's a plugin to make it a dynamic tiler.
Wayland was never my cup of tea because of NVIDIA drivers being kinda funky on my hardware (not a skill issue). I'm also not willing to use Wayland due to the myriad of security vulnerabilities from even running it on desktop Linux.
