Where do you buy polyester underwear? Ive never seen it for sale. It wouldn't be very comfortable anyway. Are you maybe confusing polyester with elastane ? Most of my underwear (i just had a look at the tags) is 95% cotton and 5% elastane. A lot of activewear is made from a mixture of polyester and elastane so that may be where the confusion comes from.
