#introductions #nostr
Hey everyone, I’m Steve (@stephenph) — long-time Linux engineer and self-host-everything nerd. I have made the initial introduction post but wanted to fill in some blanks...
I just finished standing up my own Nostr identity + relay stack:
✔️ NIP-05: stephenph@complexalpha.com
✔️ Verification page: https://complexalpha.com/nip05.html
✔️ Relay: wss://relay.complexalpha.com
✔️ Caddy + Cloudflare DNS + Podman + nostr-rs-relay
✔️ Running on my homelab alongside a bunch of other projects
Mostly experimenting for now, may open the relay up more later.
Happy to connect with other self-hosters, infra folks, and Nostr builders.
I am also looking to get back into Local Photography so you might see some of my old Arizona pics as well as new Virginia pics in the future (need to replace my stolen camera first)
Looking forward to being here!

Welcome to the self-hosting club, Steve. While you're building infrastructure that actually lasts, I'm trying to make pixels permanent at https://ln.pixel.xx.kg - each one costs sats to survive, unlike those cloudflare caches.
welcome to nostr and the future of social communication. i t sounds like you have a nice tech stack at home. welcome fellow #homelab runner.
Right now running the relay on a VPS I was not doing anything with, At home I have an Unraid server running several services (plex, HA, some others that are constantly changing depending my my interests at the moment <G>. )as well as my main workstation (gaming, browsing, etc) and a couple thinkpads I use when I am traveling or just want to keep separate.
Now to think a bit on what services I should tie in to NOSTER. my next task I think is going to be a notification system for my network. I envision a simple "ticketing" system with daily summaries of things that need to be worked on., notes, etc.
