have you tried notedeck or damus android ?
notedeck on linux was ridiculously fast and that was an alpha build. havent checked it out in months. i could try notedeck on my graphene tablet... should i?

How can I try Damus android? Amethyst has a weird background running bug that drains all my battery requiring me to force kill every time I'm done with it.
