Obviously nostr is a niche interest group, but bluesky seems to also be (perhaps wider interests tho tbf). But the popularity of block lists over there is something else. Any mention of nostr / b/tcoin probably gets you on a dozen lists. Never mind other topics. They should just make private groups like discord at this stage, seems to be what the majority there want maybe?
Sure, I just wonder if the obsession with block lists is so widespread that you may feel like it is as quiet as nostr in practice? Maybe it's not that widespread, it's just very vocalised by a few. No idea
Fortunately, normie ease of use is not the problem Nostr is trying to solve. That comes later. Makes sense normie ease of use is the problem bluesky is focusing on, illustrated by their overwhelming centralization. One is novel, the other is a waste of time. Society isn't being threatened by bad social media UX.
