This thread is perfectly the NOSTR sports vibe I’m after. Just me. It’s not a prescription. I said almost the same exact shit on twitter that night about America v Canada. Canada ended up winning later. I had to eat my words. I like that about twitter but now I can see two replies 6 months later and see an interesting dynamic emerged 6 months ago that I missed. How do we enjoy sports again when we know we are also not addressing bigger issues? I like thinking about this stuff. Enjoying sports for a temporary escape is how some people can recharge that do not abuse it. Not enjoying some level of sports as an escape for people who work on this shit every day for real seems like an awful life to me. Given where the authenticity of merit is, how nostalgic it was for me personally and how fun it still is to tailgate with the homies I’ll always want to have a pulse on it or need it as an escape. Knowing people here might be thinking about this type of question too is enough to actually “enjoy the game last night. “. Sometimes I do want to enjoy the game. I never thought I’d like ufc and then I went to watch one in the front rows (not seats). Me and the lady watched happily for 6 hours straight. We saw every undercard and were mesmerized at how awesome it was in person. Crazy athletes.
I’ll be at playoff baseball and football this year if teams are in. Shit is so fun especially if your team was ass for so long.
MMA is insane. The cardio you have to have to wrestle grapple and strike is crazy enough, then you add in 5 min rounds… most striking sports are 2-3min
Yeah I never appreciated it on tv. I think it was because when it first came out it was only watched by dudes on TV that i didn’t get along with much and threw awful parties. It’s not a good reason but I just needed to see it in person.
