What could be the reason for a Watch-Only wallet showing a different value than the value shown in Sparrow? Probably a lot of possibilities I guess?

@binsky In other words, if it scans subsequent addresses and finds no coins it'll stop at the gap limit but you can make it scan more.
Okay, just found out about that 😅. Changed a bit of these settings, but without success
Maybe first identify what address(es) contain the missing bitcoin in the wallet where you can see them and then compare that to the addresses in the wallet where you cant, that might provide a clue. Also, maybe its bitcoin held in "change wallets" and the one wallet isn't looking at change wallets for some reason
not synced properly?
I don’t think that’s the problem…
I see what adresses don’t show up, but no idea why… it works perfectly on Bluewallet tho 🤔
What wallet are they not showing up in?
@binsky could be you accidentally "hid" them or something like clicked a checkbox to ignore them or labeled them or something inadvertantly
Hmm probably not… I mean, I wouldn’t know how
sometimes you just fat thumb things 🫶 what wallet is it they arent showing up in im curious maybe I can figure it out
The @Blockstream app 🤓.
But I’ve already heard a few people “complain” about the green app… now I know why, I guess
oh ya not a fan. Not sure there, maybe if you go to receive and click the three dots in the circle and go to list and type some of the address in search maybe they will pop up and you can go from there.
I can see why you’re not a fan. i have no idea why there’s even a problem with showing all tx’s… @Blockstream
Also, any alternatives?
Alternatives to wallets? on mobile I like blue wallet, sparrow for desktop, also cove wallet is pretty nice too for iOS
Blue wallet is nice! Reliable but a bit clunky…
Never heard of Cove wallet tbh
Cove is a recent open source project that has gotten a lot of good press. It's simple to use. Depends on what you're using your hot wallet for though I suppose. If you just want a watch only wallet, bluewallet is pretty good but Sparrow is just the goat can always be opened on your computer.
Yep. Sparrow is indeed the goat! Credits to @craigraw 😎. Might check out cove wallet too, and if nothing else, I’ll go back to bluewallet I guess
Bluewallet doesn’t save any changes I make in the app 😅
