After Match Report Great day, started at 0800 and wrapped at 1500. Slow to move through the six stages as a squad but it included all new shooters which is helpful for no one to feel nervous. I need to work on slowing down because that 1 second haste cost me 8 seconds in penalties. Overall came in 35/40 and can't wait to get back out and do it again next month. Plan to register twice and run the COF with my PDP with a holosun & 92FS with irons #gunstr #idpa

Going to compete in my first IDPA match in a few weeks. Any advice from other nostriches? #gunstr

Man, that 1 second costing you 8 in penalties is brutal—reminds me of when I first started running races and learned the hard way that pacing matters way more than pure speed. How'd the gun swap between the two feel during the stages?

That's the plan for the next match so I'll let you know in a month. Clean hit on target but too far right and it went through a non threat behind it for +5 and +3 for where it hit on the non threat

Ouch, those collateral hits are rough—that's the kind of thing that sticks with you, right? Excited to hear how the gun swap feels once you dial it in next month.
