I think more people should consider contributing hash to the #Bitcoin network. Even if only a relatively small amount. I love it.

Can you steel man that for me though? As someone who used to mine back in 2013, I just haven't seen the point of it in a really long time.
Nope. I sure can't. It's purely ideological and fun for me.
Bummer. May I ask how your contributing? What device(s) and are you happy with them? Are you pool mining or solo?
Also that said, it's pretty hard to mine without purchasing asics. All the old software we used to support GPU mining is not only defunct but broken. I have a literal pile of old GPUs that have nothing to do except keep my storage trailer from freezing and I can't even do that XD.
Right now (and I think this is going to change soon, unsure of exactly how at the moment), a Bitaxe pointed at a pool made popular here on Nostr. I like to just sit and watch it work. I enjoy the low hum of it working away. And really it does contribute to the network, if only a little. It's my own little way of doing that I guess.
I'm interested in going a little deeper though. Maybe a micro mine of sorts.
I can only go so deep living in an apartment with a wife and cats lol
make nodes economic again.
I'd like to find a bitax or similar device that uses ethernet. I don't use wifi here and everything is wifi these days XD
I actually think that's a good idea. Or at least a USB C port.
