well ... i guess it is time to reveal ( ok it was never a secret ) that i am not really pro-marriage. @Prince Aleph if you believe in marriage then you must marry a virgin at puberty and she can't refuse sex. anything less is not real marriage - just LARP. do we need marriage ? the biggest argument in favor of marriage IMO is the fact that number of men and women born is almost exactly equal - this seems to suggest that we as a species are meant to form long term relationships in order to raise children together. it can be very different for other species, for example ants:
