Science tells us a lot of amazing and true things. But on the topic of human history, its just wrong. I'm not saying we were created in a pink poof of God magic. God is God, you retards - time means nothing to him, and I will never believe he's a liar, so the fossil record is not a lie. That said, the science of human history that's presented is obviously false, either intentionally or not. The thing is, most people don't actually assess a claim on its merits. Their beliefs are heavily biased towards the first thing they hear, which is why public education is do important for the state to control, and heavily biased towards whatever they hear most often. Does it make sense to you that humans now are more advanced or better off than they were before surviving recorded history? Extracting that assertion from the biases that you must be aware of inside your thinking, that alone and based on what you know of society, does it really make sense? This is in no way a denial of the scientific method. I'm just applying it in unapproved ways. You should, too.

It's always been this way. This is the slow extinction of humanity. Ancient people were smarter, stronger, and lived longer ; we are the devolved degenerate fucks that the natural selection process modified by society has produced. In a few more thousand years, we'll have been reduced to an equivalent of chimpanzees.
