I think he wants that but has taken doomer / motivated reasoning ideas from Paul too seriously. “Spark” Spark is statechains with extra steps. Federations are not worth much unless you’re a member, but then you’re faced with higher interactivity requirements than lightning. In the end, it’s back to custodial trust that can be bent against you.

I knew there was somrthing dishonest about this post. Guy's like this don't think they pick a side and just present things in as slanted a way as possible to make themselves seem righteous. Be warned about this kind of person. The reality is that gmax (love the guy but he is a redditor afterall) threatened multiple times to report Roger Ver to the IRS. So what Paul is speculating about is totally concrete and even initated by gmax. Here's the source:
