A serious question: what if your enemy uses fiat while you have switched to bitcoin, and as a result can sustain a war of high intensity for much longer than you can?

Bitcoin will hold its value longer. You can always exchange bitcoin for fiat. More bitcoin = more fiat.
You don’t want their money nor do you need them to commit to anything, but make right of the wrong

I suppose it depends on which side is righteous. If the war is in your territory then the people will fight for their freedom. If your fighting a war abroad then it’ll be harder to extend the war unless your county has held ₿ through several cycles and can afford to enlist mercenaries.
The soldiers of the enemy wish to be paid in bitcoin.
Fiat only works to fund war while bitcoin hasn't become money yet.
