Zap coming back at you @Noshole when I figure this stupid problem out. I’m retarded helpless and confused lol
Thanks, both of those fields are as they have been for months. There’s no troubleshooting section on the Damus website either.
Ooo. Damnit we have surpassed my knowledge. I was hoping it was as simple as you left one blank and I could help you. Hopefully one of the big brains shows up soon😂🫂
I hope, I tried yesterday with asknostr and got nothing but 🤙. Ask a question and receive “🤙” 🤣
Hopefully just because it was Christmas and all the nerds are back to work🙏
The Lightning address in your profile is independent of the wallet you use to send zaps. It can be the same or any wallet you choose. Damus works best with NWC wallets. If you’re not receiving zaps to the address you have posted in your bio it’s either because there’s something wrong with the wallet, or your profile update hasn’t been published to your relays.
@damus pulls up 129 identical Damus profiles, how did I pick the wrong one?

I receive to the wallet but can’t zap, It seems to time out. Both fields in Damus are the same as they have been for months.
Also, I changed the wallet selector and tried two different wallets, neither would send.
I sent a test zap to the address in your profile: dbdbdb@getalby.com
Is that the address you’re expecting to receive into?
As for sending, that’s entirely dependent on the type of wallet you chose. Are you connecting via NWC?
(If you’re on Signal or TG you can also pop into the @Nodestrich ♾️ chat which might be a faster way to triage your issue.)
Nice try :-)
Yes, received, hasn’t been an issue with that, only sending seems to be the issue. I’ll check out the chats that you recommended thanks
If you’re receiving to your Alby address, it’s probably easiest to connect that same wallet to Damus using NWC. Are you using a cloud hosted Alby Hub or something else?
Yes, that’s what I’ve been using and all looks good there. Alby cloud node and the wallet says connected. I have Alby receive and Albygo for sending. The only sends that I’ve had lately are to Alby for their service lol. I feel like a zap moocher cuz Ive been zapping daily but apparently they aren’t going through.
Do you have outbound liquidity on your channels?
This is a common culprit. Which LSPs are you using?
