Everyone is hyped about their ai setups and im just planning next seasons garden and fermenting peppers. Am i missing something or doing something wrong here? It makes me think back to when i was younger trying to learn programming. Every tutorial or advice said think of a problem and build a tool to fix it. The only issue is you could call it one is my lifestyle has never had a problem that needed code, so i couldnt think of what to do. Ironically my issues could be fixed by gas in a chainsaw and power to machines. Just watching and reading and wondering where i missed the turn all yall took.

Imagine software that could tell you about companion planting, figure out the optimal layout for what you want to grow this season, along with the number of eacch plant, when to start seeds, transplant and come up with a crop rotation plan.
That's not the power of AI, but that's the power of software. The problem is that these tools do not exist. Faint fractions of them exist.
And yeah, I'm thinking about this coming planting season too. ๐
Ive looked at some planting software and it seems useful. Could be habits but taking notes and drawing seem quicker for me but it is also familiar. I do have an idea for water conservation and irrigation. Iot sensors in multiple places linked to a weather station and electronic valve at the spigot. Water when the plant actually needs it vs eyeballing and old knowledge.
I appreciate you Doc
