Non custodial & no lightning Channels is a win for sure! But can you do lightning to layer 1 HW Wallet whilst retaining all that privacy? If so, it’s almost like a mix to cold, that would be just epic. (But from what I’ve seen, it seems to be all lightning based only)

Protocol - all rails will be built into it. As an analogue, consider road networks. Lightning/liquid etc as superhighways to cities, and cities can be of any arbitrary size you determine. In fact, you can “spend your time” in any/all of them.
