Ok so i believe it was jack mallers the created the lightning network with some other guy. Fiatjeff is his name he made the nostr protocol Someone came along and meshed both protocols together and we have zaps. Zaps was Will i think.

Yeah, all that was implemented when they wrote the code For the zaps part. I remember when we didn't have that. I think it was @jb55 that worked all that out.

There is a feed you can watch. Zap .live or something like that. Its a live feed of zaps and you can see the messages

Zapping information gets sent like events. One for "this is how much you pay and where" which is information for your wallet to use, that paid throught lightning. the other is "zap confirmed to be paid, this is the receipt". Getting the confirmation is 'just' checking through the internet.
